Terms of use
These terms of use apply to your use of eventguide.ai, a service provided by Marvin Kaes & Georg Schaal GbR (see legal notice). By using eventguide.ai you agree to these terms.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all visitors and registered users of eventguide.ai, in the version in force at the time of use.
2. Description of the service
eventguide.ai is a free, digital event calendar for Cologne. We compile event information editorially and automatically from publicly available sources as well as from user submissions, and present it in a searchable form. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the event information shown; the original website of the respective organizer or provider, which we always link to, is authoritative and should be checked if in doubt.
3. User accounts
For certain features (e.g. saved events, managing your own venue/organizer pages) you can create a free user account. You must provide truthful information and keep your password confidential. We may suspend or delete accounts in cases of misuse or violation of these terms. Use of the service is permitted from age 16.
4. Content and rights
The content provided on eventguide.ai (text, design, software) is protected by copyright unless marked otherwise. Event content submitted by users is additionally subject to the terms in Section 5 (Submitting events).
5. Submitting events — rights grant and liability
The following provisions apply in addition to the rest of these terms when you submit an event via our submission form.
5.1 Rights grant
By submitting an event, you grant Marvin Kaes & Georg Schaal GbR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right, unlimited in time, to publish the submitted content (texts, images, links) on eventguide.ai and our channels (e.g. social media), to edit it editorially (e.g. shorten or reformat it), and to promote it. You retain any rights you hold in your content and remain free to use it elsewhere.
5.2 Submitter's warranties
You warrant that you hold all rights necessary for the submitted content (or are otherwise authorized to submit it) and that the content does not infringe any third-party rights (e.g. copyright, trademark or personality rights). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted (e.g. date, venue, price).
5.3 Review and publication
Submitted events are reviewed by us before publication. There is no entitlement to publication, to publication in unaltered form, or to any particular response time.
5.4 Liability disclaimer for submitted events
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of submitted event information; the linked original website of the respective organizer is always authoritative and should be checked if in doubt. The submitting person is solely responsible for the content they submit.
5.5 Removal of content
We reserve the right to edit, decline to publish, or remove submitted content at any time, in particular in the event of a violation of these terms or applicable law.
6. Liability
We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of third-party event information that we aggregate or that is submitted by users; the linked original website of the respective organizer is always authoritative. Beyond that, we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under the Product Liability Act; for slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
7. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will inform you of material changes in a suitable form (e.g. on this page). Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
8. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is Cologne. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
